Hello there!
I’m finally getting the chance to leave the studio in the midst of making the new album and play you some of the songs from the forthcoming #3 opus. I’ll be bringing my full band on tour and I can’t wait to see you all on the road this Spring and Summer. Tickets go on sale today at 10am:

While touring is harder and riskier than ever, we have lined up these seven very special shows where I’ll be bringing my uber talented live band - Leoni Jane Kennedy, Keir Adamson & Charlie Cawood - to some hello lovely independent venues around the country, previewing some brand spanking new material from the forthcoming album, as well as some golden oldies, and maybe even some rareities.
If you are able, it’s more important than ever to spread the word and please buy your tickets in advance. This cash flows the venues, promoters and everyone who is a part of the live music ecosystem, which is facing a real crisis right now.
Last year in the UK we lost one grassroots music venue every two weeks – with nearly half making a loss and 200 remaining in a state of emergency as the country faces a “collapse in touring”.

We really need your support on this tour so that these beautiful venues can exist for future bands and artists just starting out.
You’ll have heard all over the press or on the radio or TV about the current crisis faced by the live music sector. Venues are closing. The costs of touring have almost doubled, meaning that the future health of the independent live music sector is bleak and uncertain.
So, please don’t be cross that we aren’t coming to X town or Y venue in your backyard… We’d love to come closer to you but it’s no longer financially viable for most bands to do lengthy tours, with the costs of fuel and accommodation having soared, and guarantees halved as venues see footfall declining and overheads soaring. (This excellent FAQ by Public Service Broadcasting is a really brilliant explainer about why tours go to some places and not others).
Please vote with your wallets and your feet, spread the word, and support independent live music, to ensure that this won’t be the last time I am able to take The Anchoress on tour in this way.
Can’t wait to see you there!

I read that headline and thought you were back playing with Simple Minds. Was that intentional? :)
