Having listened to YOU, the fans, the people that make these shows possible, we have negotiated with venues and promoters to be offstage by 10pm at ALL of the forthcoming 2025 shows.
This will help those of you who need to plan for transport, childcare etc. and hopefully make your night out more affordable and stress free.
We trialled this earlier curfew unofficially on the 2023 tour dates and have since seen lots of good folk like Los Campesinos and Benefits piloting similar initiatives for their live shows. So we thought we’d make it “official” for 2025.
Spread the word. Who knows what might happen if it catches on?
While I can’t claim to be able to fix the live music eco system, nor the broken state of public transport in the UK currently, we do hope that finishing that little bit earlier each night means that more of you will be able to get home cheaply after a show, and that more of you will therefore be able to come and see the music they love.
By letting you know the stage times now we hope it means that you can plan properly, book any childcare, and plan your travel, especially if you are coming to the shows from out of town, as we know many of you frequently do.
Of course, timings may be subject to change due to those pesky “unavoidable circumstances” but we will do our very best to keep to these so you can all be tucked up in bed before midnight.
I will be signing at the merch desk after each show, so you’ll get a chance to tell us how the earlier curfew works for you, and even have more time to chat and sign things.
