Fabulous piece here. The thing is Catherine, from what I've seen, all your performing outfits are bright and bold eye-catchers, look great on you, and certainly add to your stage presence. The fact that you've adopted an ethical stance in acquiring them can only be seen as a bonus, and you should be applauded for that. Big respect!
at nineteen, while living/traveling around central california, used to sport a long lime green bubble rain coat…the kind of vintage attire an unconscious-to-fashion grandma would wear when hunkering down to the market for her basic supplies in the name of pure practicality and comfort. Wonder what happened to that thing 🤔 Tanx for sharing own tales of afore and beyond and hear-hear to the thrift ravagers!

I had a lime green leather trench coat. In fact, I must still have it somewhere!
